			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many people think about building muscles as abandoning life outside the gym and devoting hours in the gym like a monk in a monastery. Perhaps the only way to chisel the body into a hot muscular physique is by toiling hour by hour over the rusty iron day in, day out and year in, year out.</p>
<p>This need not be so. Although hard work is truly required, extreme fitness demands one to be a slave of the iron weights. Full-body work outs can make one progress and it easily fits in one&#8217;s schedule. This is very convenient if one is looking forward to achieving extreme fitness but finds it hard to hold on to a single work out routine.</p>
<p>Genuine full-body work outs done by athletes with an aim in mind makes for maximum muscle contraction using heavy weights, makes room for full recovery so one can actually grow and continue to train hard plus it also prevents burnout which is inevitable due to excess training.</p>
<p>So if one is ready for extreme fitness, here is all there is to know about full body work out:</p>
<p>Full-body work out is a time saver. The biggest plus about having the whole body trained all at once is probably having to go to the gym less frequently; perhaps around two to three times for every seven days would be enough. </p>
<p>Another advantage of working out the entire body all at once is that one need not spend two or more hours of strenuous exercise in the gym for every session; one only spends one hour in the gym for every session. So that&#8217;s just three to four hours per week in the gym right? With full-body work outs, it is all about the quality of exercise one does for session and not the quantity, nor even the amount of time you allot per session.</p>
<p>Full-body work out boosts the cardiovascular system for extreme fitness. One must allot two to four sets for every body part into the one hour session. Jam packed with exercising, each one hour session then gets the heart and the rest of the cardiovasular system pumping and up to speed in a flash. </p>
<p>Now feeling pumped up, next find out what rules does one have to follow when engaging in full-body work outs:</p>
<p>Training commences only once every two to three days. This is so easy isn&#8217;t it? What is great about this is that there is time spared during rest days so that one can indulge in a few cardio exercise sessions instead of depending on cardio execises one normally does at the end of each work out session which after all, are not at all very effective.</p>
<p>Heavy lifting is strongly advised. Contrary to popular belief, especially among athletes. It is not true that it is good to get trapped on training lightly than one actually could so as to conserve energy for the other body parts that will come later in the routine. What is true is that one cannot achieve optimal progress if one is not training heavy, no matter which program that person is doing.</p>
<p>One exercise only per muscle group. This is very easy to follow and is also important. Doing basic exercises which are also intense means you do not have to do another different exercise for that body part.</p>
<p>Keep work out short. Resistance training affects the natural homones of the body connected to muscle building. Intense exercising boosts the testosterone levels and long work outs increase those of catabolic cortisol. Sixty minutes of work out allows you to get the best of both worlds. </p>
<p>Now with this convenient and powerful work out regimen, one can now truly experience extreme fitness.</p>

For all of these times, and many more times, most people&#8217;s focus turns to their stomach and they start thinking about excursuses to flatten stomachs. </p>
<p>People tend to think that a flatter stomach means better looks and most people want to look their best. A flat stomach does go beyond looks however; there are medical reasons why people should concentrate on exercises to flatten the stomach. Medical evidence suggests that people that carry extra weight around the stomach tend to be more likely to develop serious medical conditions, including diabetes. The stomach is also the core of the body, this means that the stronger and healthier the core is, the more likely the rest of the body will be as well. Consider a person with back problems, which is a common problem with many people. These people benefit greatly from doing exercises to flatten their stomachs. This will help improve posture and relieve tension in the back as access weight is removed from the center of the body. When a stomach is flat, it also helps the person to walk taller and straighter, giving the person more confidence and improves their overall looks compared to a person that walks hunched over. </p>
<p>Besides looks and health, another reason why exercises to flatten stomach muscles are popular is because they are easy to do. They can be done practically anywhere, in a gym, at home in front of the television or anywhere else. They also do not take equipment to do. While there are plenty of machines and smaller pieces of equipment all geared for flattening a stomach, they are not necessarily needed to get the same results. All a person needs is some room to lie down and the desire to improve their stomach. There are a wide variety of exercises that target this area of the body, so a person can choose which moves will work best for him or her.</p>
<p>Because this type of exercise is so popular, most workout programs, whether on a video watched at home, a health club or any other program a person follows, will include exercises to flatten stomach muscles, because it is so important to keep them strong and also because of the popularity of this type of exercise. Most people are not interested in simply working on their legs or arms or other parts of their bodies unless they are exercising their stomach as well. </p>
<p>Obviously there are many reasons why people want to flatten their stomach and spend a lot of time doing exercises to flatten the stomach. Whether the reason is vanity or health, it is important to remember that like with all things, it will take time to get the desired results and a person must stick to whatever program they are comfortable with until they have the stomach they want. The good news is that stomach muscles respond very well to even a little exercise, with some exercise and a good healthy diet, most people can see results, provided there is no medical reason why they probably won&#8217;t succeed.</p>

This is normal; most people want to look their best. The question isn&#8217;t whether or not a person wants a flatter stomach; it is usually a question on how to obtain one. The first thing that many people will wonder is where to find exercises that flatten the stomach. </p>
<p>There are many resources for finding exercises that flatten the stomach. The first source many people go to is the internet. From this source all a person has to do is type in &#8220;exercises that flatten the stomach&#8221; and a variety of sites will come up all in answer to this question. Some sites are paid sites that for a fee the website will give a detailed workout routine and usually eating program all in the hopes of flattening the stomach. Other sites will simply describe various exercises that flatten the stomach. Then there are the sites that sell videos that concentrate on these types of exercises. It may be a bit overwhelming for a person to decide on the best way to achieve their goal. For some people, the paid sites are wonderful since everything is laid out for them and is usually designed specifically for that individual based on their goals and current situation. For others, these types of sites are not an option; in that case the sites that offer free advice can be helpful. The videos are also excellent for people that like to exercise at home and do not want to rely on reading instructions in order to do the exercises correctly. </p>
<p>Besides the internet, there are also resources where are person can find exercises that flatten the stomach. For those that are truly dedicated to this goal, and has the time and money, sometimes a gym or fitness club is the way to go. It is at these places that a person can get one on one help from trainers and have access to different types of equipment all geared at flattening the stomach. This option however is not for everyone. Many people can not afford the membership fees and even if they can, it takes time to travel back and forth from the club, this is time that many people do not have. It may also be inconvenient for people who would have to find babysitters for children while they are working out. </p>
<p>The library is a great and often times overlooked place to find exercises that flatten the stomach. At the library a person has access to many books that are written on this topic along with videos that can be borrowed and magazines that can either be borrowed or read while at the library. Besides the information that can be found at the library, another advantage is that the books and videos are not purchased, so if a person does not like that particular selection, all the person has to do is return it, and try another one without investing large amounts of money to find just the right exercise. When a person does find what they like, they can then buy the video, book or magazine and know that they are getting what they want.  </p>
<p>These are just a few sources a person can go to when looking for exercises that flatten the stomach. A person may want to try several different sources and decide which one works best for them given their own circumstance and then remember to follow through in order to achieve their goals.</p>

Thirty minutes a day is not too much when you get right down to it. Cut one prime-time show out of your evening television-viewing schedule. Get up a half-hour earlier each morning. Use half of your lunch hour for a brisk walk. You can find time if you look hard enough for it.</p>
<p>In fact, there are people who find time to manage and endorse the advantages of physical fitness just so they can prove to the world what a physically fit person can look like.</p>
<p>It is for this reason that most people contend that fitness models are one of the healthiest and most appealing people in the world. They embody the perfect concept of a physically fit person. Fitness models are, indeed, the epitome of health, life, vigor, and real beauty.</p>
<p>In reality, virtually everyone who has the capability to move can exercise to some degree; and everyone who is capable of projecting the benefits of exercise and physical fitness can be a fitness model.</p>
<p>Therefore, if you think that you have what it takes to be a fitness model, here are some tips on how to be come one.</p>
<p>1. Deviate from the common notion of everybody that fitness is just a matter of the body figure.</p>
<p>The problem with the society today is that people tend to admire and look up to females who are thin and sexy and to males have brawny, muscular biceps, triceps, and wonderful abs.</p>
<p>The upshot is that people tend to exert so much effort in exercise not because they want to be healthy and fit but because they want to like the fitness models that they usually see in TV, posters, and magazines.</p>
<p>To be a fitness model, you should start working your way to a healthier you and not just a sexier, physically attractive person that you want to be.</p>
<p>After all, being a fitness model does not necessarily mean you have to have a &#8220;fashion-model&#8221; body size.</p>
<p>2. Believe in the saying, &#8220;You are what you eat.&#8221;</p>
<p>If you want to be a fitness model, you have to believe on the fact that our body shows what kinds of food we eat. Your body will also depict the kind of physical activities that you have in life.</p>
<p>Hence, if you do not conform to this belief, chances are, you will find it hard to be a fitness model, and to inform the people what it is like to be physically fit.</p>
<p>3. Live a healthy lifestyle</p>
<p>Genes play big roles in a person&#8217;s health. But these do not certainly influence what you will eat at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the kind of activity that you will engage in.</p>
<p>Hence, if your lifestyle will not be healthy, chances are, you can never be a fitness model.</p>
<p>4. Have a &#8220;positive self image&#8221;</p>
<p>In order to be a fitness model, you have to incorporate positive body image in your life. This means that you should love your body in spite of what is happening in the environment or the occurrences in your life.</p>
<p>You should never wish for a body that you know it is not yours. Do not burden yourself into thinking that life could have been better if you only have thinner thighs or beautiful abs.</p>
<p>Through positive self-image, you are able to gain respect for yourself, which in turn generates other s to respect you and admire you.</p>
<p>The key point here is that, being a fitness model is not all about vanity and physical attributes alone. What matters most is the beauty of being physically fit and healthy that radiates from your body as it exudes the glow of health.</p>

Try to ask yourself first of these questions before you grab your wallet and buy that equipment.</p>
<p>Do you need it? The equipment should suit your interests and needs. The activities that you will do with that equipment should be challenging and something to enjoy on. Buying equipment is never a guarantee that you will use it especially if it is something new that makes it harder to use. Make sure that you already know the equipment and that it is something that you already tried in a fitness club. Start from buying small equipments that are aligned to your interests.</p>
<p>Can you afford it? Don&#8217;t be fooled with the thought that you will be forced to use something because you spent too much money for it. Expensive equipments are never an assurance that you will use them or that they are effective for you.  Always consider how much are you willing to pay for certain equipment. Also ask yourself iif it is worth it. Always check on the quality before you buy equipment. The price may be too low but consider that the quality can also be low. Or it may be expensive but then the quality is not that good. You can try choosing on cheaper alternatives but not sacrificing the quality of the equipment.</p>
<p>You may also want to check out for some used equipments. Most of the time, this is where you find a better deal. You can even find equipments that do not seem to have been used at a very low rate. Or you can find the equipment 3 months old but the price is almost half the original.</p>
<p>Do you have enough space for it? This is often what buyers forget to consider. Try to consider first where to place a treadmill before buying it. Before you buy something, make sure you know where you will place it. Your place may not accommodate the equipment. Plan ahead and make sure that the equipment can be placed in your home without causing any hassle.</p>
<p>Is it safe for you? If you have existing conditions, be sure to check with your doctor to make sure that the equipment will be safe for you. Some equipment may be painful to use and might cause harm to your body. So make sure to try it first be fore you buy it.</p>
<p>It also suggested that you first consider if a gym near you already has that equipment.  You can save money by just registering to that gym and use that equipment compared the price you will spend if you will buy that product.</p>
<p>Buying fitness equipments should be bought with consideration. Do not buy by impulse. Always ask the opinion of a professional gym instructor before you buy something.</p>

<p>Instead of disappointing your children, why not say, &#8220;yes&#8221; after all? You will be surprised by the amount of energy you will have after that 30-minute activity.</p>
<p>Did you know that by exercising at a moderate pace for only 30 minutes, you would feel a lot better, mentally? It has been proven that this improves the appetite and sharpens your style in problem solving. Not only that. You will also feel that it is easier to sleep at night if you do moderate exercises even for only 30 minutes every day.</p>
<p>What are the benefits of regular exercise? It promotes self-discipline and has a positive impact how you perceive life. Exercise helps in lifting your spirits and getting you out of any depression. For first timers, it can be done for 15 minutes for 2 to 3 days a week. You can increase the time you spend once your body gets tuned up for it.</p>
<p>DON&#8217;T you ever force your body! If you get hurt, then stop. You can take a break from exercising for a few days and then you can start again but you need to start from day 1. </p>
<p>Here are some moderate exercises you can do and enjoy:</p>
<p>1. Do the Walking. Make use of your surroundings. You can walk your dog, with your partner or child. Encourage your family to do the walking exercise daily and you will find yourself burning calories while enjoying the surroundings and getting enough sunlight that is also good for your body. </p>
<p>2. Discover the wonders of Yoga. Yoga is one effective exercise that energizes not only your body but also your soul. You may want to learn even the basic yoga positions that are not too complicated but proven effective. A five-minute yoga exercise can perk you up and recharge your body with the energy you lost for the whole day. You relax and at the same time you stretch!</p>
<p>3. Engage yourself into sports. Play basketball, football, baseball, tennis or badminton. Many doctors have recommended sports as an effective way to stay fit and healthy. Sports can also be done in moderation. Do not take it seriously. Shooting basketball with a friend is one moderate exercise that is also considered a sport.</p>
<p>4. Join exercise programs at work. If you still do not have exercises programs at work, then why not start it? You can talk to your boss about it and start with your colleagues. You do not only lose calories but it is also one good way to bond with them. This can be done 30 minutes, 3 times a week. </p>
<p>5. Exercise while doing household chores. Gardening, raking leaves, lawn mowing, doing the laundry, vacuuming and car washing are effective moderate exercises at home. Make use of these chores to sweat and burn calories. Instead of using machines and gadgets to perform these chores, why not do it with your hands and lose some fats?</p>
<p>Making exercises as part of your daily routines will surprise you of how much calories you will lose. Doing these moderate exercises of the same amount every day can burn 150 calories up to 1,000 calories a day!</p>

<p>What is a Heart Monitor<br />
Also known as a cardiac monitor, a heart monitor is a piece of electronic equipment that can be used to track or observe heart functions continuously. It allows people to place a numerical value on their healthiness based on their heart rate and have a target heart rate to work for. The more complex versions of the heart monitor allow physicians to see any signs of deterioration or improvement and make the necessary adjustments immediately.</p>

Today, heart monitors are produced by the millions and designed to cater specific types of individuals. Some heart monitors are primarily designed for weight loss programs while others are meant for the use of athletes or fitness programs. Some are wireless or come as a built-in feature of exercise equipment like a treadmill or an exercise bike. It can be strapped to your wrist or of considerable size. It may or may not emit any electromagnetic waves, depending on its purpose. A fetal heart monitor, for instance, must not produce any waves at all as this may affect the health of the baby.</p>
<p>Factors on Selecting the Best Heart Monitor for You</p>
<p>ECG-Accurate Monitors with Chest Straps &#8211; Heart monitors that come with chest straps are more often not the most accurate of heart monitors. The chest strap is strapped around your chest, a few centimeters below your breast. It contains a device that&#8217;s able to detect electrical activity of your heart and transmit it to the brain of the machine &#8211; just like an ECG. The results are shown on the display monitor, which most of the times is attached to your wrist like a watch. Others however prefer results to be transmitted through audio messages via earphones.</p>
<p>Upon choosing heart monitors with chest straps, you need to remember to keep the strap constantly connected to your body lest you want the heart monitor to produce inaccurate readings.</p>
<p>Lastly, the only alternative against buying heart monitors with chest straps are the ones that rely on pulses on your fingertips. These however do not provide readings as accurate as those with chest straps.</p>
<p>Heart Monitor Features &#8211; Basic and lower end models tend to display only your heart rate and maybe the elapsed exercise time as well. This of course does not provide sufficient information if you want to know exactly how much you need to improve before you can be qualified as a completely healthy individual. Higher end models will naturally offer a wider range of features &#8211; for a price. Examples of such features are &#8211; but not limited to &#8211; heart rate zone alarms, timers and number of calories burned. It may also allow users to set pre-programmed workouts along with a targeted heart rate.</p>
<p>Ease of Use &#8211; Lastly, you must purchase a heart rate monitor that you will have no problems of using. What good would a high end heart monitor do if it takes you an hour to operate it? Are the numbers and words appearing in the heart rate monitor readable? Can it be used in no-light situations? Are buttons well-labeled and ergonomically positioned?</p>
<p>To Buy or Not to Buy a Heart Monitor<br />
Heart monitors can be especially costly, more so if you are intent on purchasing higher-end models. If you have a limited budget, you should ask yourself whether or not you truly need to buy a heart monitor. You can of course purchase one of the lower-end models but low quality heart monitors can lead to inaccurate results and that sort of defeats the purpose of buying one.</p>
<p>If you are intent on purchasing a heart monitor, you need to ask yourself another question: do you need to make a solo purchase or is it alright with you to use the heart monitor that comes as a built-in feature of a treadmill? Lastly, you should remember as well that you can always pay your doctor regular visits and have him monitor your heart rate for you.</p>

<p>Aside from these, exercise also works for strengthening the bones and keeps people looking good and feeling good about themselves. Exercise also gives people the stamina to enable them to keep up with the pace of their lifestyles. Unfortunately, not many people chose to do what is good for them. Most people could not decide exactly what to do when waking up in the morning; whether to exercise or to press the snooze button one more time. </p>
<p>The following tips are very helpful in reaching and maintaining the ideal body weight. This is especially great for women since they get through a lot of things going on in their bodies and are more susceptible to osteoporosis. <p>There is a lot a person can do such jog or walk every morning, play basketball or any other sport with friends but if a person wants to have muscles and look lean, then one can sign up and workout in a gym. </p>
<p>People workout for 3 reasons;</p>
<p>The first is that the person is overweight and the only way to lose those extra pounds will be to reduce ones calorie intake and at the same time workout in the gym.</p>
<p>The second is that the person is underweight and the only way to add extra pounds is to have more calories in ones diet and workout. </p>
<p>The third is just for fun and to keep that person in shape.</p>
<p>The best exercise plan should have cardiovascular and weight training exercises. This helps burn calories and increase the muscle to fat ratio that will increase ones metabolism and gain or lose weight. </p>
<p>Just like taking any medicine, one should first consult the doctor before undergoing any form of exercise.</p>
<p>Here are some benefits of exercising;</p>
<p>1.	It is the easiest way to maintain and improve ones health from a variety of diseases and premature death. </p>
<p>2.	Studies have shown that it makes a person feels happier and increases ones self esteem preventing one from falling into depression or anxiety.</p>
<p>3.	An active lifestyle makes a person live longer than a person who doesn&#8217;t.</p>
<p>Working out for someone who has not done it before should be done gradually. Endurance will not be built in a day and doing it repeatedly will surely be beneficial to the person.</p>
<p>It is advisable to workout regularly with a reasonable diet. </p>
<p>A person can consult with a dietitian or a health professional to really help plan a good diet program. It starts by evaluating the lifestyle and the health of the patient before any program can be made. </p>
<p>Afterwards, this is thoroughly discussed and recommended to the person which usually consists of an eating plan and an exercise program that does not require the use of supplements or one to purchase any expensive fitness equipment.  </p>
<p>A good diet should have food from all the food groups. </p>
<p>This is made up by 2 things. The first is carbohydrates. The food that a person consumes should have vitamins, minerals and fiber. A lot of this can come from oats, rice, potatoes and cereals. <p>Another way to stay healthy is to give up some vices. Most people smoke and drink. Smoking has been proven to cause lung cancer and other diseases as well complications for women giving birth. Excessive drinking has also shown to do the same. </p>
<p>For people who don&#8217;t smoke, it is best to stay away from people who do since studies have shown that nonsmokers are also at risk of developing cancer due to secondary smoke inhalation.</p>

<p>1. Where is it located?</p>
<p>The location is the first thing that you should consider when finding a fitness club. If the club is far from your home, you will just another excuse not to work out. It is best to find a facility that is near your home.</p>
<p>2. Are the employees friendly and nice? Will they be able to help you reach your goals?</p>
<p>Make sure that the instructor has the necessary experience to work with you. The instructor should be a certified professional that can work with you safely and effectively. Your instructor should also know if you have physical limitations or you may find an instructor that is well trained to work with you. You can also check the age of the instructor especially if it is one factor for your motivation and learning. The staff should also be helpful, friendly and professional. You can also ask the services they offer and find what is important for you. Some facilities have their own dietician and physical therapists that can offer services for you.</p>
<p>3. What kind of programs does it offer? </p>
<p>Find time to see what programs are there for you and check if they suit your interests. Do they offer group classes? Choose the facility that offers the classes you really like. You can do a trial class to check it out if you want.</p>
<p>4. Are the facilities and equipments good and will they be available anytime that is most convenient for you?</p>
<p>Check if the equipments are enough for all members. Otherwise, you will waste your time falling in line and waiting for your turn. Also make sure that the facility is open during the time you are most likely to do work outs and exercises.</p>
<p>5. Is the entire facility well maintained, clean and safe for you?</p>
<p>Machines and other training facilities should be in clean and in good order. If you see a lot of &#8220;out of order&#8221; signs, it could be something to think about. Modern equipments are safer and more comfortable to use, so you may also want to consider that. Are the floors cleaned regularly to avoid accidents? Is there enough room for everyone? <p>6. Are the members of the club friendly and can they be your friends?</p>
<p>The fitness club is also a venue for social interaction. Take time to drop by and meet the members of the club before you enroll. Other members can be your buddies in the near future and should be considered.</p>
<p>7. What is the schedule of classes and will they be convenient for you?</p>
<p>Find out what classes are offered at a specific time and consider if you will be available at the schedules given. </p>
<p>8. How much would it cost you?</p>
<p>It is important to know the monthly membership fee and what it covers. Some fitness clubs have hidden charges and you should be keen in checking that. Check if they have promotions or discounts and do they offer services at an extra fee. It is also important to know how long the club has been and how often they increase rates.</p>
<p>9. How is it different from other fitness clubs? </p>
<p>Don&#8217;t just stick into one fitness club. Try to visit as many facilities as you can and make a comparison. Then you can just narrow down your choices to the facilities that met your needs and priorities.</p>
<p>10. What do people say about it? Take your time to gather feedback from other members. Ask them what they can say about the club and let them tell you about the experiences with the facility.</p>
<p>Choosing a fitness club is just like shopping on the best shirt for you. Do not be pressured and do not try to contact them right away. You can take your time to review and gather enough information if you are still not sure which one to choose. Once you have made your choice, enjoy and make the most out of it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Something you need to keep in mind and never forget is that when you exercise, you are training for  life.  You still may spend an hour a day in the gym, although that will still leave another 23 hours or so for your muscles to function without using any fancy equipment. </p>
<p>Whenever you do any type of exercise, the movement of your body during the exercise is known as the range of motion.  The more difficult the range of motion is, the more effective the exercise will be, because your body has to work twice as hard to  perform the movement. </p>
<p>Take for the instance the classic dumbbell bicep curl.  If you aren&#8217;t familiar with the exercise, it is performed by standing up straight with your palms facing forward, and a pair of dumbbells held down by your sides.  You&#8217;ll contract your biceps to bring the dumbbells up to your shoulder height, then repeat the exercise as many times as you wish. </p>
<p>Using that same movement for exercise on a bicep curl machine, you should sit down, brace your  upper arms on a pad, grasp 2 handles that are in front of you, then perform the same movement as above to move the handles in an upward motion. </p>
<p>Now, looking at the muscle contractions in this exercise, you are contracting essentially your biceps if you are using the curl machine, and that is pretty much all you are doing.  When you use the machine you are sitting down, which will limit just how much your shoulders give.  The machine has several muscles used in this exercise limited to the biceps, as well as the muscles in your forearms and fingers. </p>
<p>Most of the time, when using machine weights, you will always be limited as to what type of exercise you can perform.  You must always follow a strict procedure, which is pretty much the same with free weights.  Unlike free weights, machine  weights offer a certain degree of resistance. </p>
<p>One of the best thing about free weights is the fact that you move a little chuck around to  select the weight you want to use.  Instead  of dragging it over to your exercise area, you simply select it on the machine.  When  you are tired during a workout, this can be a blessing. </p>
<p>A lot of people argue in the fact that free weights are the best for your body.  While this  is normally true, many people out there feel that machine weights are the best.  There are pros and cons with both machines, although free  weights have been around a lot longer and have been proven time after time to achieve dramatic results. </p>
<p>Body builders for example, have used free  weights over the years to build very impressive bodies.  If you ask most of them about machine weights, they would probably laugh at you and tell you that you need to quit joking around. </p>
<p>In a nutshell, free weights will use more of your muscles than the machines do, which makes them more effective overall.  This doesn&#8217;t mean that the machines are a waste of use, as they offer some great advantages.  In some cases, it is best to stabilize the muscles that are being used in a movement, which is where machines are the best to use. </p>
<p>The decision on which to use for you should be based on what you hope to achieve with lifting weights and where you plan to use the equipment, such as home or at a gym.  Both systems are great for your body, although the free weights are best to use if you want the best possible workout, and always ensure that your muscles are getting the right workouts they need.</p>

<p>You should always make sure that you drink plenty  of fluids before you exercise, follow a nutritious diet, and avoid over exertion.  You should also listen to your body, and if you start feeling sick you should immediately stop and rest. </p>
<p>If you exercise during your pregnancy, you&#8217;ll find it a lot easier to deliver when the time comes. Exercise will help your body strengthen up, which will make it very easy on you when you go into the delivery room.  Women who don&#8217;t exercise find it much harder when the time comes to give birth. </p>
<p>Exercising during pregnancy is one of the best things you can do for yourself and for your unborn baby.  Your baby will reap some of the benefits, which is reason enough to exercise.  Always be safe when you exercise, and don&#8217;t hesitate to ask a doctor for advice if you have any questions at  all.  As long as you exercise safe and use good common sense, you&#8217;ll do a world of good for  your pregnancy.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to past research and studies, nearly 80% of all Americans will experience some type of back pain in their lives.  The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons believes this as well, as they say 80% of us out there will encounter some type of problem with our back before we die. </p>
<p>Traditionally, the treatment for lower back pain is increasing core strength to increase flexibility on muscles that are tight, which will provide better stabilization of the spine and exercises to correct the imbalances of the muscles.  The muscles that surround the spine will provide stability and support of the spinal column. </p>
<p>Every muscle between the hips and shoulders are  included as well, as these muscles are referred to as the core muscles.  Back pain can be a result of muscle imbalances caused by any of these core muscles.  If the back of your thighs are weaker than the front of your thighs, there will be an uneven pull on the front of your spinal column.   </p>
<p>There are some effective ways that you can integrate core strength training exercises into all of the exercises you perform, rather than doing just the traditional crunches and sit-ups.  One such way is by breathing effectively.  Deep breathing will utilize your diaphragm muscles which will help  support the spinal column and lengthen the spine, which is great for your lower back and supporting you when you walk or run. </p>
<p>The tummy tuck and bridge lift can also help you to reduce back pain and strengthen the core  muscles as well.  The tummy tuck exercise is a simple pelvic tilt that draws the abdominal muscles away from the floor.  Do perform a tummy tuck, simply lie face down on the floor and squeeze your glutes to strengthen your spine. </p>
<p>Instead of pressing into your thighs, you should instead reach your tailbone down towards your heels.  Perform 15 reps of each exercise and alternate them until you have completed a couple of sets.   </p>
<p>For the bridge, place your feet on a bench or on the floor and scoop your pelvis upward, as your rib cage should stay low to reduce any irritation to your spinal muscles.  The bridge will help to relieve stress on your back and focus the muscle contractions into the glutes and the hamstrings. </p>
<p>Other exercises for lower back pain are the lumbar side stretch, hip flexor stretch, and calf stretches, as all three can help to alleviate pull on your spinal column. </p>
<p>Hip flexor stretch When doing a hip flexor stretch, bring one foot forward in a bent knee, 90 degree angle, while your other leg is on the floor behind you with your foot pointed upwards toward the ceiling.  The hip flexor stretch will help to open up the  muscles of your back on the side of the spine near your hips.  You can also squeeze your glutes as  well to deepen the stretch with each breath you exhale.  You should begin to feel a stretch in your back leg, in the thigh front and the hamstrings on your front leg. </p>
<p>Lumbar side stretch This stretch will bring your legs wide with your  knees bent while you sit or stand.  Simply bring one hand down towards your foot on the inside of  the thighs and your other hand behind your head. </p>
<p>The last stretch will open up your Achilles tendon, which is the most distant pull on the spine.  For this, place an object under your foot and lean the weight of your body forwards.  Maintain a fluid breath while you hold stretches for 30 seconds or so.  After a while, you should begin to feel a  stretch behind your knee and shin.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Making the decision of where you will go to exercise is a very important step in reaching your goals of fitness.  A lot of factors will go into this  decision, and each one should be evaluated well before you start exercising.  Once you have made  a decision on where you will go to exercise, you can move on to deciding how you plan to work out. </p>
<p>As you probably know, exercising at home has many advantages.  The finance department is one of the best advantages.  With the gas prices being what they are today, it is quite obvious that you&#8217;ll save money on fuel as well as wear and tear on your vehicle by choosing to exercise at home. </p>
<p>Memberships to a gym can often be quite expensive and may include other things that you don&#8217;t need such as child care or swimming pools.  You also won&#8217;t need to be concerned about the latest  trends of exercise gear as you most likely will be exercising by yourself at home. </p>
<p>Keep in mind that working out at home does  require a bit of financial obligation.  Even  though you may plan to run, it is very important that you have high quality running shoes.  This statment applies to any type of equipment that  you may purchase to use at home.  If you go out and buy cheap equipment, you&#8217;ll probably end up getting hurt or getting frustrated because you aren&#8217;t making any progress. </p>
<p>Along with the financial gains, exercising at  home may also help those who don&#8217;t like to work out in public.  If you are worried about how you look in gym clothes, it is very comforting to know that the only person who has to be with you when you exercise at home is you.  Also, when you exercise at home, you don&#8217;t need to worry about time at all. </p>
<p>Those of you who are motivated by being with people you know or come to know while working out away from home, a gym may be a better idea than working out at home.  At the gym, you&#8217;ll  also more of a selection of equipment as well, far more than you&#8217;ll have at home. </p>
<p>If you need other services than just weights and equipment, the gym may have just what you need. If you plan to swim a triathlon, you&#8217;ll find the swimming pool at the gym to be just what you need to prepare yourself.  Swimming is also a great  exercise for your body and cardio, as it will work muscles in your body that you probably didn&#8217;t even know you had. </p>
<p>Gyms will also offer you classes that you may find very motivating.  If you attend class on a regular basis, you may be motivated enough to continue so you don&#8217;t have to defend yourself when asked where you&#8217;ve been or what you have been doing. You can also meet new people in class, or just help others along if you choose. </p>
<p>All in all, making the choice of exercising at  home or at the gym is a choice you should make based on your goals and personal preference.  The most important decision you&#8217;ll need to make is to determine what type of environment you want to be in and how you want to accomplish the fitness goals in your life. </p>
<p>Once you have given it some thought and weighed out the pros and cons, you&#8217;ll have no problem making the choice.  Always keep in mind that once you&#8217;ve made your choice, you can always switch if you aren&#8217;t happy with the choice you made.</p>

Life is very hectic and busy, which will create a serious challenge for remaining  consistent with exercise each day.  Exercise is  however, just what we all need to reduce stress, and give the body the extra energy it needs to carry out normal living. </p>
<p>The best results of exercise are achieved through the use of refined techniques, functional exercises, cardio, the right nutrition, variety, awareness,  consistency, and motivation over a period of time. </p>
<p>The refined techniques mean correct form to isolate muscles or to target areas of the body.  Efficiency is need to ensure stimulation of the muscles.  With weight lift training, which is also known as  resistance training, you&#8217;ll need to eliminate any type of momentum.   </p>
<p>It is also important to move the weight about using a full range of motion.  Full range of motion causes the muscle to contract for the right amount of time and help to ensure the right length of the tendons. The goal here is to strengthen the joints of your body by stimulating the muscles. </p>
<p>Cadence is also helpful, as it is a term that refers to the rate in which the resistance or the weight moves.  The best results with cadence are gained by slow movements which will cause the muscle to contract for a longer period of time.  You can mix in a series of fast and slow cadence, which is very beneficial with sports type  training. </p>
<p>Using the correct angles will achieve muscle isolation in target areas and help to decrease the risk of injuries, which is great for those using heavy weights.   </p>
<p>Functional type exercise is a popular technique that will stimulate the core and torso of your body while you work on another muscle group at the same time.  As an example, when you perform a dumbell press while lying on an exercise ball. </p>
<p>Your abdominal muscles and the core muscles will contract to hold your body into this position, while your chest and tricep muscles will push the dumbells up.  This type of exercise and challenge will cause maximum stimulation to your body and keep the workout interesting and refreshing. </p>
<p>Cardio is another exercise that is great for the heart and lungs.  The total number of calories you burn is very important along with maintaining the right heart rate.  The formula for your  heart rate is 220 minus your age times 60 for the lower number, then 220 minus you age and times 80 for the upper number.   </p>
<p>This is also known as fat burning zone.  Cardio will also de-toxify the body and help to strengthen the immune system along with other benefits.  The muscles will contract and pass the lymph along, which will allow the immune system to clear away dead cells and bring new ones in. </p>
<p>Anytime you exercise, warming up is very important, as it will prepare your body for the more  demanding workout of cardio.  You should always allow 15 &#8211; 30 minutes prior to weight lifting and 10 &#8211; 15 minutes prior to cardio exercises.  You should also stretch as well, as this will help get the blood flowing through your musles and get them limber as well. </p>
<p>An ideal schedule for working out is to warm up then follow with cardio.  You can lift weights on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday then cardio only on Tuesday and Thursday. </p>
<p>Even though you may think your schedule is simply too busy to maintain a schedule for working out, you&#8217;ll find that adding exercise will actually add more time, as you&#8217;ll have a lot more energy in your normal everyday life.  You can think of exercise as the batteries that will help to give your life power.</p>

<p>Diabetes is on the rise. The number of people diagnosed with diabetes every year increased by 48% between 1980 and 1994. Nearly all the new cases are Type 2 Diabetes, or adult-onset, the kind that moves in around middle age. Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes include increased thirst, appetite, and need to urinate; feeling tired, edgy, or sick to the stomach; blurred vision; tingling or loss of feeling in the hands.</p>
<p>The causes of type 2 diabetes are complex and not completely understood, although research is uncovering new clues at a rapid pace.</p>
<p>However, it has already been proven that one of the reasons for the boom in type 2 diabetes is the widening of waistbands and the trend toward a more deskbound and inactive lifestyle in the United States and other developed countries. In America, the shift has been striking; in the 1990s alone, obesity increased by 61% and diagnosed diabetes by 49%.</p>
<p>For this reason, health experts encourage those who already have type 2 diabetes to start employing the wonders that exercise can do for them. Without exercise, people have the tendency to become obese. Once they are obese, they have bigger chances of accumulating type 2 diabetes. </p>
<p>Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reports that over 80% of people with type 2 diabetes are clinically overweight. Therefore, it is high time that people, whether inflicted with type 2 diabetes or not, should start doing those jumping and stretching activities.</p>
<p>Getting Started</p>
<p>The first order of business with any exercise plan, especially if you are a &#8220;dyed-in-the-wool&#8221; sluggish, is to consult with your health care provider. If you have cardiac risk factors, the health care provider may want to perform a stress test to establish a safe level of exercise for you.</p>
<p>Certain diabetic complications will also dictate what type of exercise program you can take on. Activities like weightlifting, jogging, or high-impact aerobics can possibly pose a risk for people with diabetic retinopathy due to the risk for further blood vessel damage and possible retinal detachment.</p>
<p>If you are already active in sports or work out regularly, it will still benefit you to discuss your regular routine with your doctor. If you are taking insulin, you may need to take special precautions to prevent hypoglycemia during your workout.</p>
<p>Start Slow</p>
<p>For those who have type 2 diabetes, your exercise routine can be as simple as a brisk nightly neighborhood walk. If you have not been very active before now, start slowly and work your way up. Walk the dog or get out in the yard and rake. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park in the back of the lot and walk. Every little bit does work, in fact, it really helps a lot.</p>
<p>As little as 15 to 30 minutes of daily, heart-pumping exercise can make a big difference in your blood glucose control and your risk of developing diabetic complications. One of the easiest and least expensive ways of getting moving is to start a walking program. All you need is a good pair of well-fitting, supportive shoes and a direction to head in.</p>
<p>Indeed, you do not have to waste too many expenses on costly &#8220;health club memberships,&#8221; or the most up-to-date health device to start pumping those fats out. What you need is the willingness and the determination to start exercising to a healthier, type 2 diabetes-free life.</p>
<p>The results would be the sweetest rewards from the effort that you have exerted.</p>

<p>With regular exercise you&#8217;ll notice that your quality of sleep is improved and the transition between the cycles and phases of sleep will become smoother and more regular.  By keeping up your physical activity during the day, you may find it easier to deal with the stress and worries of your life. </p>
<p>Research and studies indicate that there is a direct correlation between how much we exercise and how we feel afterwards. </p>
<p>You should try and increase your physical activity during the day.  The goal here is to give your body enough stimulation during the day so that you aren&#8217;t full of energy at night.   </p>
<p>Your body requires a certain amount of physical  activity in order to keep functioning in a healthy manner.  It is also important to note that you should not be exercising three or four hours before you go to bed. </p>
<p>The ideal exercise time is in the late afternoon or early evening.  You want to make sure you expend your physical energy long before it is time for  your body to rest and ready itself for sleep. </p>
<p>You should attempt to exercise at least three or four times a week for a period of 30 minutes or so. You can include walking or something simple.  If you prefer, you can include strenuous activities such as running as well. </p>
<p>The goal here is to increase your heart rate and strengthen the capacity of your lungs.  By adding a regular exercise activity to your daily schedule will help you to improve your overall health and help you emotionally as well.   </p>
<p>Along with running and walking there are several other physical activities that you can add to your daily life to increase your level of physical activity.  If you are battling not sleeping, you&#8217;ll find aerobic exercise to be the best. </p>
<p>Your goal with exercise is to increase the amount of oxygen that reaches your blood stream.  Overall, there are many types of aerobic exercise for you to choose from.  The activities include running, biking, using a treadmill, dancing, and jumping rope. </p>
<p>There are some non aerobic exercises that you may find beneficial to help you solve your amnesia  problem.   </p>
<p>Yoga Yoga is an exercise that has a stimulatory effect on your nervous system, especially the brain.  Yoga utilizes breathing techniques and yoga postures to increase the blood circulation to the brain, promoting regular and restful sleeping patterns.  The regular practice of yoga will help you to relax as well as relieve tension and stress. </p>
<p>Tai Chi Tai Chi is an ancient art of breathing and movement that was developed by the Chinese monks.  The  movements involved are slow and precise, which is ideal if you have joint pains or you are unable to participate in high aerobic exercises.  Research has shown that Tai Chi can help with insomnia by promoting relaxation. </p>
<p>If you discover that you don&#8217;t have any time to  exercise on a regular basis, you should try to  sneak moments of activity into your schedule.   Whenever possible, you should take the stairs instead of the elevator, as little things like that will do wonders for your body. </p>
<p>You should also park your car around the corner and walk that extra block or two to get to your  destination.  As you may know, there are many small things you can add to increase the activity in  your life.  Your overall goal here is to have a healthy and well balanced life &#8211; with plenty of sleep.</p>
